Wardrobe: 2012.
Part of feeling good is looking good. Well, at least for me. Sure, I’ll leave the house in a t-shirt and my “fat jeans” with my hair in a ponytail and minimal makeup. As you can see, that’s what I did today. But I want 2012 to be a big year, especially for my career, relationship, and overall well-being. And so, I’m planning on gutting out my closet and starting a new wardrobe this year.
I’m a girl. So, I like to shop, right? Well, kinda. I enjoy going out and looking at clothes and trying them on. But shopping for me is often discouraging. I don’t know if I’m just picky, or if clothing designs just really suck nowadays. Not to mention, shoes, bras, and jeans are my worst nightmares. I currently have three pairs of jeans that fit correctly, a couple pairs of boots that are a few years old, one pair of actual shoes, and a couple pairs of flats that will not survive next summer.
But now I have to bite the bullet, right? I’m expecting some clothes in the mail that I ordered online through Target and Sears. In the meantime, I went to Mandee and Forman Mills, both of which were having huge sales. I decided to be open-minded and not-so-picky. Here’s what I ended up getting: Probably not the most exciting purchases I’ve ever made, but I’m glad to have some new things. I got a short-sleeve blazer, a lace shaw, a light pink button-up shirt, and a great two-for deal: a tank top with a crop hoodie for $6.

Look, two pairs of shoes!! They were on clearance for $7 a pair, but rang up two for $10. I normally only buy black and tan/brown colored shoes, but the pewter ones on the right were just too cute to leave at the store. They kinda make me want to get dressed up and go out on a date. *shifty-eyes* Matttt…
The best thing was that all of this cost less than $35.
